MALIK BABY
Accessibility
Last updated: 9 October 2026
Malik Baby is designed for tired caregivers on small screens. We work to make the app usable with different ways of seeing, hearing, moving, and interacting.
Clear contrast and readable text
We aim for clear colour contrast for text, controls, and status messages. Colour is not the only way we explain a feed type, error, or sync state. Text can grow with browser settings, and the layout is designed to continue working at 200% text zoom.
Screen readers and clear structure
We use semantic page structure, visible labels, and native form controls where they fit. Icon-only controls have accessible names. Status messages are marked so assistive technology can announce them.
Keyboard and touch use
Controls are designed to be at least 44 pixels tall, with larger primary feed actions where practical. Keyboard users can see where focus is. Dialogs are being built to close with Escape and return focus to the control that opened them.
Motion, colour, and appearance
We avoid animation unless it helps people understand an action. Malik Baby includes a dark appearance and aims to respect browser and device settings where possible.
Ongoing work
Accessibility needs regular checking, especially as the app changes. Before release, we plan to check the main flows with keyboard navigation, automated accessibility checks, mobile screen readers, and common phone widths. This page describes our current approach and is not a claim that every part of Malik Baby meets a specific accessibility standard.
